OADC Webinar: Are Recreational Waivers Finally Enforceable in Oregon?

The Oregon Legislature passed SB 1517 in the 2026 short session. The legislation is designed to address Bagley v. Mt. Bachelor and declare recreational waivers to again be enforceable in Oregon, subject to a number of exceptions and conditions. This CLE will offer information about the ten year legislative effort leading to this legislation, address the exceptions and conditions to waiver enforceability in the statute and offer practical advice on drafting effective and enforceable waivers and advising clients on avoiding the exceptions to enforceability in the bill.
